Clients only pay the recruiter if the Candidate Starts. Clients typically fight with competitors for the best candidates, with no motivation for the recruiter to prioritize jobs. Recruiters work multiple Jobs in different areas, with limited time spent on searches, and the Client’s success in finding the right Candidate is low.
Retained Search
Retained search is often used for Senior/Director Positions. Fees are set in advance, with no guarantee of finding the right Candidate. Recruiter still gets paid regardless of filling a position.
